Greetings All,

Does anyone know why IIS uses port 3456? It has been driving me bonkers. I have to open the port on my firewall. I can't find any decent documentation on it anywhere. Any info will help me sleep better at night. Thnx.

Hi,

Are you sure it is IIS using port 3456? Use tcpview from
www.sysinternals.com to find out what application is really using this port.

Thanks,
