I find my fingers (don't surf those sites) works best.

If I must surf there, I use Mozilla/Netscape or Opera.

I hate spam - PLEASE get rid of the spam before emailing me!
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
 
If you're doing this to keep your kids from going to sites like that, you
could get parental control software such as NetNanny. If you're getting
porn pop up ads, you could get a ad blocker such as Pop Up Killer or PopUp
Stopper.
