popup server everytime I want to send mail from windows live

Hello ~
every single time I use windows live I get the pop up server error, I write
a VERY long important email n then lose everthing, plus says doesn't support
hotmail! And why does this take me to windows live and not hotmail, that's
what I've always used. How can I fix this, please?

To make Hotmail your default email service, apply this fix:

"Windows Live" is not the name for any email program. It is the group
name for a whole suite of different programs, see
http://download.live.com/

If you need more help, please identify the exact name of your email program.
