POP3 v. IMAP

My Windows Mail does not let me change the POP3 to IMAP. How do I get
around this? I cannot check my gmail using Windows Mail. Any
suggestions appreciated. Thanks

You make a new account, choosing IMAP when you put in the server names.

Gmail is capable of both pop3/smtp and imap. Log in to Gmail at
www.gmail.com, click Settings, click Forwarding and POP/IMAP. Make sure
that POP is enabled if you want to use POP, IMAP is enabled if you want to
use IMAP. Click Configuration instructions for the type of access that you
want to use. Click Windows Mail and follow the instructions.
