pop3 problem

When I open outlook after booting up my computer, the
incoming mail address under servers in my account info
has reset to "localhost" from what should be a
pop3.server.net address. My account name also adds
a "/pop3.server.net" tag after my name. Any suggestions?

This is your antivirus software's doing, not Outlook's. Check with the mfr.
to see if they have a newer version that scans mail in a more sophisticated
manner or change to another product that does same.

Some may suggest disabling your AV software's mail scanning feature, which
will also work, but I usually prefer to have as many layers of protection as
possible.
