POP3 account problem in OL 2003

Marcelo Veiga N.

When I send a plain text message using a PO3 ISP account I have no problems.
If I attach a file of any size the message remains in the outbox. If I use
Outlook Express this do not happen.

I did a test with OL 2003 accessing the POP3 ISP account from a PC outside
the internal network and OL works fine.

Another test was connecting from outside of the network through a VPN and OL
works fine with POP3 and exchange accounts. ( unchecking "Use default
gateway in the remote network" )

What happen inside the netwok instead ? How I have to configure SBS, ISA
or/and OL to work fine with POP3 ISP accounts ? ( I am not using POP3
connector )

The server configuration is: SBS 2003, Exchange Server 2003 SP1, Sharepoint
2.0 SP1, SQL Server 2000 SP3a and all the patches from windows update.

Thanks

Marcelo

Try increasing the serer timeout value on the Advanced tab of your account
properties pages.

I did not find it ? Where is it exactly ?

Tools>E-mail accounts>Next. Select your account. Click Change>More
Settings>Advanced. Look in the middle of the page for a "Server Timeouts"
slider. Move it to the right a bit. I have "5 minutes" selected.
