Disable the messagen service and alert service.
Thse are the paths these are coming through.
They have nothing to do with the chat programs
(Messagener 4.7 or MSN Messenger 6.2)

Do not click on ANYTHING unless you know who it is.
The Firewall is like a dam holding back the Ocean of bad
things. A web apge is filed with bad sites from people
that are only interested in their profits or miscief.
Don't go to a link just because someone says to.
Valid links should satrt with www or that are valid
trusted companies or you know who they are.
Everything else is a monster after you info or computer.

That why MS created Sp2. Because the net is so bad.

Look around, services is in there somewhere.
Double click on the service, set to disable, click on
stop, click on apply.

I realize that you may be trying to help, and that such an intent
is commendable, but please don't post potentially harmful advice.

Disabling the messenger service, as you advise, is nothing more
than a "head in the sand" approach to computer security that leaves
the PC vulnerable to threats such as the W32.Blaster.Worm and the
W32.Sasser.Worm.
