Hi,
I am experiencing one of the most irritating things I have
come across yet in the world of the internet. It started
yesterday, the 15th, while I was surfing the world wide
web. I haven't done anything different to my computer, and
yet all of a sudden, my main window decides to close on me
and a pop-up takes its place. Every time this happens, I
have to re-open internet explorer, and I can't even see
the pop-up that caused this in the first place.
My parents and I believe this to be a virus, since their
computer has the same problem. If there is anyone out
there that can help me solve this dilemma, it would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Krystal

Looks like your PC is infected with something nasty.
Use your virus scanner or try SpyBot Search and Destroy:

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.
**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
