Pop-up window does not Pop up

I use Windows XP Pro. I notice that on some websites (like a Caribbean
Cruise ship) it offers for a given picture "enlarge". When I use that I see
on the left of the screen very, very briefly a pop up window, which then
immediately closes again.

I also had the same experience in D-Link Router where on their Wizard the
same thing happens. A very , very brief pop-up window which then closes
before I can read it.

Pop Ups on these sites are allowed so I do not see anything else that I need
to set or change.

Any ideas?

Try holding down the Ctrl key when you click on the link. If
that works then some other program installed on your computer
is blocking pop-ups. Check your security software.
