POP Timeout....

Nancy Dutremble

During the day, few times per day, Outlook don't even try to send the TCP
request to get email. I have to shot down Outlook and re-open it. My port is
open because it's working with telnet...

Outllook 2003 SP1 on Windows XP.

Does somebody have an idea???

Please post the exact error message text.
 
The error say:

Task 'pop.bellnexxia.net - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A) :
'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving
(POP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your
server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

But I don't see any TCP request, I have no firewall nothing... I open
telnet and I can reach the POP server. I just need to close Outlook
and re-open it....

Need help....:)

Try enabling session logging and examine the logs or post them here. It may
help determine what's happening when your client is trying to contact the
server.
