In my office the pop mail works in main computer - user1 - in outlook express
but the same does not work in o/e or microsoft outlook 2003 of other
connected LAN computers, and send/receive fails. I tried so many things and I
feel some network settings need to be adjusted. Pl. help.

Can the other computers get to the Internet properly? Do you have a
domain or Workgroup? What is the physical construction of the network?

In the meantime, check all your settings on the email server
usernames/passwords and whether you've set the "server requires
authentication" incorrectly.

Hi - I believe you've posted nearly identical messages to several different
newsgroups; I know I replied to at least one of them.

In the future, please don't multipost - if you need to post to multiple
groups, it's best to *crosspost* instead, by posting a single message to a
handful of relevant groups (separate the NG names with commas) so that
everyone can follow the thread. Thanks :-)

I ahve checked "my server requires authentication" as without this the mails
are not recd even in a normal computer w/o network. I have a work group in
LAN. All computers are getting internet connection - broad band - w/o
trouble. Main computer user 1 is able to send/recive from outlook whereas
others get error msg. 0x800cccod. I am in a remote island in india with no
proper technician who say it is not possible to get mails through outlook in
other computers. My server name etc. are correct.

Then you will need to explain a lot better what you are trying to do AND
post your question in an Outlook newsgroup.

Does each user have his/her own email account or are you trying to all
access the same email account from different computers (which will not
work)? Include the answer to this in your next post to the correct
newsgroup - an Outlook one. Refer to this link *first* to see what kind
of details you should include in your post:

First I tried with outlook group but could not solve the problem and I feel
it is for some network settings. Our internet is shared by wingate -does it
require any change of setting ? I am talking about individual mail accounts
and not sharing of one mail a/c in all computers. Pl try to help if possible.
Eleswhere also same problem is there and that networking is also setup by
smme technician in the same method. Here everybody says one cannot
receive/send mails in outlook in network but you all people do not deny this
and I have hope. Thanks !

I suggest you contact Wingate's tech support. I have no idea what
Wingate requires. You are going to need someone on-site to take a look
or at the very least a telephone conference with someone who is
familiar with your setup.
