Poor graphic quality in Explorer

I just got a new portable, however when I use IE graphic quality is poor.
When I go to the same site on my PC sites look much better. The text looks
fine but any graphic looks low res. Any ideas???? My screen res is
1400X1050.

Set the laptop LCD screen to its "native resolution" all
other resolutions require that the pixels be guess at by the
video card and they will look bad. Most laptops will use
1024x768. See your computer documentation for the native
resolution. You might be able to just open display
properties and set default.
