Polaroid SS120 or ?

Hi,

I asked the question " Nikon Coolscan 8000 or Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro?
" last week and Tony Polson and rafe b kindly gave their opinions.

Now, whilst i am still looking, a friend has offered his recently fully
refurbished Polaroid SS120 for around £250 to £350 less than i can get a
used Nikon Coolscan 8000, the Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro has now been
sold.

So here i am again asking for expert opinions as to which way to junp?

1) no ice/infared
2) may not be adaptable to your computer without a new card
3) I've just seen some great B&W done with one, and since it was silver
film the lack of Ice/infared was irrelevant.
4) speed Vs Nikon?
5) able to improvise anti-newton glass carrier? important to nikon,
maybe not? to Polaroid
