Hi All....I'm new to the forum and can't find my problem listed anywhere.
Sometimes (30%) when I'm surfing the web my pointer will automatically open
links without me even right clicking on them. I should mention I have an
Acer laptop with a touchpad. This problem is very annoying. Anybody have a
reason or a fix? Thank you.

Hi Jerry,

Are you sure your pointer is opening a link, and not just a Popup Window?

Go to Internet Options. Click on Privacy. Click Settings for Pop-up Blocker. Change your Filter Level to High Block. Click Close then click OK.

When you are using a touchpad, very often it happens that when you set your
finger down you are telling the touchpad you are clicking on something. What
I did for another customer was to disable clicking on the mousepad, and you
have to actually use one of the buttons below the touchpad. If you'd like
more info, email me directly.

Hi Jerry,

You stated that you were not Right-clicking and it is opening the link. You don't open links by right-clicking, you open the link by left-clicking only. Is the Left-click sticking?
