Pocket Pc Development

Is it possible to develop for the Pocket PC with the standard version of Visual Basic .Net 2003?

I've installed Microsoft Pocket PC 2003 SDK but I don't appear to get the Smart Device project icon when I go to create a project.

I am not sure. The Visual Basic .NET Standard is really a learning edition,
although rebranded to the "Standard" label. It is so limited that it is not
useful for much more than learning, IMO.

Technically you don't NEED VS.NET as www.msmobiles.com has shown, however
you wouldn't want to develop without it.

If you want the templates and all you'll need to pro version of VS.NET.
