PnP Driver Not Found. Cannot use USB ports. Help please.

Hi. I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 which was until recently quite happily
running Vista. I recently installed MagicDisc which is a freeware app that
can be installed with magicIso. MagicDisc is a virtual drive emulation app.
On the download site it said it was Vista compatible but when you install,
Vista pops up with a known compatibility issues error. Anyway I went ahead.
Now none of my USB ports are working. Whenever I plug in a pen drive or
something I get a message saying unknown device attached to usb port and
Vista wants me to install drivers for it. A description of the problem is
pasted below as shown in Vista's Problem Reports and Solutions section. I've
tried reinstalling and uninstalled the software and a system restore but my
usb ports are still not usable. Is there anyway to reset the Vista PnP driver
or something? Get rid of MagicISO referance from the Hardware ID as I'm
guessing thats the problem. Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance for anything.

Ok, well my usb printer works through usb. I have an wester digital media
center external hard drive. It was two built in card readers. the card
readers show up but the drive itself doesnt and 2 pen drives I tried dont
work, though one pen drive I tried did work, however it is connected through
a USB hub... if that makes any difference.

Any ideas anyone? Potential Boffins?
