Hey,

In the past there have been Windows XP media centre laptops that have had
extra options integrated, compared to "regular" Windows XP laptops. Like a
co-axial connection for TV signals.

I have read that with Vista premium the media centre function is already
integrated. Many laptops have Vista premium now. But does this means they
also have co-axial connection?

I want to buy a Vista laptop for recording TV shows (for private review, as
videotapes are clumsy to use). What computer would be best to buy?

A Tivo!

Just kidding. But if you really need the computer just to record shows, a
TIVO or other namebrand DVR would seem to be a much easier solution.

Thank you all for replying.

a Tivo sounds cool, but I need it to be a laptop, as I don't only use it to
record shows. I also need to make schoolwork on it. And a laptop, as I
occasionally need to bring it along.

The Qosmio looks good. I try to look further into these machines.
How do you feel about the HP Pavilion PMC's? I have seen that HP has a handy
tool with it's laptops: a remote controller. Since I want to use my laptop as
a mediaplayer, I find a remote control real handy. As far as I kknow they are
only with IR, I hope there are/will be models with bluetooth remotes.
Does anyone have any experience with remote controls for laptops?
