PM8 and resizing drives

Ok I got Partition Magic 8 was told from here i can use it to
resize/repartition my drive C (split into drive c, g, h) making drive c only
30 gigs for reinstall of winxp pro to it sp2 and updates, combining drive g
and H into a large G drive and a small drive h for image backup without
losing data is that correct. I can then transfer settings to other drive D
and when i reinstall winxp pro i can cut and paste my cable modem file into
it and transfer settings back to new c?? please advise

PM will allow you to create/delete/resize partitions, just remember
to move any wanted files to a temp folder on C: before starting.
Also, backup all important data off the HDD to CD /DVD in case
something goes wrong ...

Not sure abou the rest of your post regarding the modem, you
should have an installation CD from your ISP for setting it up.
