Plug andPlay devices not showing on my computer

Hi Can anyone help, when I plug in my memory stick to the USB port the disk
identifier does not appear under the MY COMPUTER. all devices from A to I
show but no identifier after I. The device is on the machine and can be
accessed as K: but does not visibly show.
