plot_XY_scatter_smooth

When data is plotted using XY (scatter) with a smoothed
function, the points are connected with a curved function.
What type of function does Excel use ? Polynom with grade
2 or what ?
Tanks for any tip on this question.
 
Microsoft won't come clean on it, but it seems to be a bezier function
used to smooth the curve. Brian Murphy has done a great deal of digging
into this, and he's posted an excel file with bezier formulas that
follow the smoothed curves. http://xlrotor.com
