Please Help!

i do not fully understand this problem but here goes information about my
system is below (its long winded but please, comments are welcome on this)

..firstly whenever i try to use the back up too i get the following error

Error returned while creating the volume shadow copy:80042301
Operation Failed.


i read other forums telling me to enable the COM+ system, which in the
computer management section is set to manual and when i try to enable them
its like they dont exsist

COM+ Event System
Error : 126 the specific module could not be found

COM+ System Application
Error: 1067 The Process Terminated Unexpectedly

so with that in mind that COM+ doesnt seem to work, i noticed the following
errors everytime my pc starts i found this in the Event Viewer of my system

In Application-
All the errors are COM+ related here are some examples
1. Error 22:47:23
THE RUN TIME ENVIROMENT HAS DETECTED AN INCONSISTENCE IN ITS INTERNAL STATE.
THIS INDICATES A POTENTIAL INSTABILLITY IN THE PROCESS THAT COULD BE CAUSED
BY CUSTOM COMPONENTS RUNNING IN THE COM+ APPLICATION

2. Warning 22:47:23
FAILED TO CREATE EVENT CLASS

3. Error 22:47:23
A CONDITION OCCURED THAT INDICATED THIS COM+ APPLICATION IS IN AN UNSTABLE
STATE
THE SERIOUS NATURE OF THIS ERROR HAS CAUSE THE PROCESS TO TERMINATE
ERROR CODE = 0X8000FFFF : CATASTROPHIC FAILURE


.. in the system area of the management area, this error is reported upon
computer startup

The COME+ Event System service terminated with the following error
the specified module could not be found

The COM+ system application service has terminated unexpectedly. it has
done this 4 times

the logs have reported errors with com+ for months but i have no idea on the
severity of the situation or how to resolve it. If you require anymore
information, more detailed information maybe just ask system configuration is
below

OS : windows xp home edition SP1
file system : NTFS
2 Western Digital Hard Drives (80gb/40Gb)
type - OEM
processor - AMD Athlon 2000+ 1.67Ghz
Ram - 256MB
Nvidia Geforce FX5200

Thanks for your help Jon but the problem remains unsolved, i followed all
instructions step by step, but upon reinstalling the COM+ system i got the
following error

*COM SET-UP ERROR*
SUB-COMPONENT COM+ RAISED AN EXCEPTION WHILE PROCESSING THE
OC_COMPLETE_INSTALLATION SETUP MESSAGE.
D:NT\COM\COM1X\SRC\COMPLUSSETUP\COMSETUP\CSETUPUTIL.CPP (LINE 3406)
ERROR CODE = 0x8007007e
THE SPECIFIED MODULE COULD NOT BE FOUND.
FAILED TO LOAD THE LIBRARY 'C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ES.DLL

i am clueless as too me it looks like COM+ does not exsist at all here

Here's information that suggests you should run "regsvr32ole32.dll" as a fix
(Start > Run - enter REGSVR32 OLE32.DLL)

thanks again for your help so far. the operation was sucessful as in running
the command however. The com system still fails to start only with a
different error message for COM+System Application

Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a
timely fashion

The error for COM+ Event System states
Error 126 : The Specified Module Could Not Be Found.

Although i am aware of the reinstallation of windows would most likely
repair the problem, my system is an OEM and i have no windows disc. My
system is a packard bell and i have master cd's but require software which is
missing to use it to reinstall windows. Are there any other ways?

You might try the steps listed under "Problem Diagnosis and Troubleshooting"

Also, this problem may well have been the result of a virus,of some type so
you might first thoroughly scan your system.

Thanks again for your help, i tried looking into the error given on setup
stating the following file could not be found, a file named es.dll
i tried looking for this file, found it sucessfully and now the COM+ system
starts sucessfully. I beleive for now all is well with the problem, thanks
again for all your help id have gotten no where without it.
