|A few days before I got a problem that when ever I run Dos or Dos type
| application, my computer goes on restart. I reinstalled windows(xp) many
| times but problem was not solved. then someone told me to format all my hard
| disk even repartition will solve this problem. I did this and wasted my so
| important data which was collected in last 4 years.

| by doing this the problem was solved. then I collected data again and after
| 6 to 8 months, the problem is again in my computer.

| now I don't want to waste my data once again. plz help me to solve this

The first thing you need to do is learn to back up your data so you do not
"waste" it and can reload it after a reinstall.

It seems obvious that one or more of the the DOS or DOS related programs is
not compatible with XP and is causing the problem. If they are games that
makes it very likely.

You may have to put up with it, or find which program or programs are the
problem and stop using them or find better replacements for them.

Hi if you are running games especialy old dos games and get this problem you
might be able to fix this with an emulator called "dosbox" if it is old
games that is.
