Please help?

every time i scan for spyware using microsoft antyspyware beta1 the spyware
"vertumondo" is found. i select romoval and follow the pompts to remove.
after resetting my comuter i scan again and its still there. i have never had
a problem like this before, i have had other spyware and it always gets
removed. i have the latset updates and have even disconected the internet for
24hours and repeated the process, however the spyware remains. my computer
seems to be running slower than usual and my desktop settings are acasionally
playing up, by playing up i mean changing? for eg. my taskbar was stuck on
auto-hide and would not gp back to normal no matter how many times i changed
it. i have no virusess and i do not visit any unsecure websites. what can i
do?

Download the file, close all open browser windows, run the file, reboot, scan
again with WD.

One thing that may well be worth trying is updating to beta2 of Microsoft
Antispyware, now renamed Windows Defender. Find it here:

Just run the download--it will upgrade what you have in place. Then give it
a chance to update--it may take several minutes. If something is found and
removed on a quickscan, I'd proceed with a full scan of the machine, just to
be sure.
