Hi,

I have a stand alone Windows 2000 Server and a Stand alone Windows 2003
Server.

Two different domains. Every Week on a Monday, both Servers will not allow
any user to access their files from their Desktops until the Server's are
reboted.

Any advice on what is causing this?

Thanks
Dib

Path not Found. This is the only error I get when trying to click on a
Mapped drive.
The Server are configured with DHCP config. After a Server reboot it seems
to work fine

Thanks

I recommend you do the usual tests:
- Check IP address, subnet mask, default gateway both on the
workstation and on the server.
- Ping the server and some workstations.
- Make a connection to a share on your own workstation.
- Make a connection to a share on some other workstation.
- Make a connection on the servers to a share on that same server.
- Check the Event Logger on the servers
- Get a handle on the timing of the problem, i.e. if it happens
at a specific time, after x hours of uptime etc.

By the way: I suspect you would get many more replies if
your post had a proper Subject line. "Please help" will not attract
many experts in a busy group like this one. It's obvious that
you want help, otherwise you would not post here, would you?

Thank you, I will try to be more open next time, I will check the things you
mentioned.

Thanks
Dib
