Please Help

Patrick Brennan

I have just completed a clean install of server along
with AD, SP4, DHCP and DNS. My problem I believe is
something to do with DNS. I set up the internet
connection and began browsing the initial MSN home page
came up no problem. From here I changed the default home
page to google. Know each time I key in a site or inquire
it brings a list of available sites as usuall. The
problem occurs know. When I try to connect to ANY of the
generated available site IE returns a message that cannot
find DNS server. When I first click on the link I see it
resolving and state found website and d/l website. Then I
get the IE page stating could not find DNS.

Check inside your network cards properties and make sure the DNS is assigned
127.0.0.1.

Go to Control Panel->Administration tools->DNS. Right click on your server
instance and choose properties. Go to the "Forwarders" tab and make sure it
is turned on with an outside DNS (your ISP's dns) server listed.

Did this fix it?
