Please help!!

i just installed xp pro on an old compaq presario 5020 (including format drive to FAT32-Full) now i got a prompt while trying to start up that i am missing "NTLDR". I cannot start my computer and when i try using my boot disk the screen tells me "Disk I/O error Replace the disk, and then press any kkey" I don't know what to do! please help as soon as possible!!!
 
What bootdisk are you using? Remove floppy disk if there's one in
the Drive. Restart and see if it works.
