PLEASE help re: quick launch toolbar!!

quick launch toolbar is not there and i have to add it
manually (right click, taskbar etc). Ive noticed a

particular file - but its not there and im not registered
with that site anyway. Surely Microsoft or its users can
provide a quick (FREE?!!!?!) fix???

Someone on a post months ago suggested 'This may be due

to NoSaveSettings registry key set to 1 or corrupt
structrects key'. What is the correct registry key/value
then????

thanks for your reply but the fix is NOT there! i did say that on my original post!! I have not lost the desktop or any other quick launch icon ive lost the whole toolbar!! i can only get it back on restart if i go into right click, properties, taskbar
until recently it came up automatically on reboot!!!! the page on kellys-korner only provides desktop icon or an error in starting the toolbar altogether! this is not the problem i have!!
