Please help... problem in file sharing

I have installed windows xp on 4 machines in my office, whenever we access a
common accounting software on more than 2 machines, it hangs the total
software and gives a message like "the computer cannot accept more
connections, as the accessable limit is full".
Now I don't think that there is any limitation for accessing files on
multiple computer, please advise...

Yes, there is a limit. Windows XP Home can only accept five connections at
once, Windows XP Professional can only accept ten connections at once.
