Please help newbie -No fade in with PP2000?

Hosh

Hi to all.
I just brought in my Powerpoint presentation to work. I've been working on
it for days at home and it is due Monday.

Throughout my presentation, I have a quite a few Fade-in effects that really
look classy and subtle. When I play the show on a computer with Powerpoint
2000, the fade -in effect is replaced with the objects just appearing. This
doesn't work and will ruin everything!

The computer at home is running Powerpoint 2003.

Is there anything that I can do? A patch or an add-on or something?

A little desperate.

Thanks!

Unfortunately what you need to do before you create your presentation in
2003 so that it will run with whatever effects that are available in 2000 is
to click on Tools, Options, Edit, and checkmark the 3 items at the bottom of
the tab.

In addition to the other suggestions, you could use File | Package for CD on
your home computer. This will create an autorun CD with the PPT 2003
Viewer -- so your presentation should then run as you intended.

I would suggest selecting "copy to folder" when you use the Package for CD
function. Then use your CD creation software (Roxio Easy CD, Nero Burning
ROM, even plain old Windows XP or Vistat, etc.) to burn the contents of that
folder so they're "loose" on the CD. (Don't just burn the folder itself --
burn the files that are in the folder, you know?)

That way you won't have to worry about installing anything on the computer
at work, since everything just runs directly from the CD.
