Please help me with the security

Hi,
Please help! On my notebook computer there is a wireless
network card and WinXP 5,1 serv. pack. 1. There is an aces
point (router) for my Internet connection. And al this
works fine. But I can not set the Wep key for crypt my
wireless net work. Some one told me to click on the net
work icon and select show wireless network but I cannot se
any network and the advanced button is unable.

Is there e way to set this in win register the wep key or
to set so I can se my wireless network and the advanced
button? I logged on as administrator.
