BitDefender scan showed a Trojan.Downloader.Small.AAQR in
C:\ProgramData\Microso...ations\Windows\tmp.edb

BD wants me to send them the file but I can't find it. I have searched and
searched.

ProgramData is a hidden directory.

Open Explorer (by double-clicking Computer or selecting Computer from Start)

Tap Alt key to show Menu (if it's not visible)

Select Tools
Select Folder Options...
Click View tab
Scroll down to Hidden files and folders
Select Show hidden files and folders

Open your C: drive and you should see it

The truncated path suggests it might be
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows

tmp.edb is a temporary database file and may not exist

If you can't find it, I won't worry too much about it.

It might be a possible false positive.

Computers are lot more fun when you can do it on your own.

Select Folder Options...
Click View tab
Scroll down to Hidden files and folders
Select Show hidden files and folders

(other stuff snipped)

You could just click "Organize" on the existing toolbar and select "Folder
and Search Options" to get to the the View tab...

Much easier - no Alt needed.

Perhaps you can help me again. Since installing BitDefender Internet Security
2010 I can't find my log files. With versions 2008 and 2009 they were stored
in Virtual Store, but now they aren't. When I click on View Logs within the
program there's nothing there except the contextual scans I have done. Do you
have any idea where these logs might now be stored? I had this same problem
back with version 2008 and BD couldn't help me. It was someone from this
Windows Community who finally directed me to Virtual Store. But now it
appears I'm back to square one.

Second, BD wants me to archive a file and upload it on a site they gave me.
I have no idea how to archive a file. I Googled it but couldn't find anything
that would help me. Can you tell me how to archive this file?
