Please help, I've screwed up my computer

Can someone help?? I've done something to my computer and can't figure out
what. When I click on the start button most of the things are there, but
when I click on them nothing happens. I can open stuff using shortcuts, but
I don't have shortcuts to everything.

Try system restore to before the doing something to your computer happened
and see if that will help to go back and then you can tell us what you want
to do to your computer may we can do something.
