Please help -- Can not get into DataBase.

Hi all,

I meet a strange problem for the Access database. We have a securied
database used for a group of 20 people. It works well for a long time, but
one day, when open the database on one of the computers with the
administrator user name, then all of us get the error message like this:

The database has been placed in a state by user 'UserName' on machine
'machineName' that prevents it from being opened or locked.

But, once the database was opened on any other computer as administrator or
ready only user before that computer, then nobody (include that computer
cause the problem) is going to have any problem to get in the database. So we
had to let that computer log out off the database to let us get into the
database first.

What should I do to avoid this noise?

Thank you very much, and happy holidays!

The user logged onto that computer doesn't have full read write
permissions to the folder, not just the file, where either the back
end MDB or MDW resides.

You need to set the permissions for that folder for that user with
complete read/write/modify/delete privileges.
