There are some free utilities available for this, but be careful! Do a
google on 'file recovery'.

The best utility I've found for this is File Saver - the
website if www.file-saver.com. It's the only util that
I've found that was able to recover files a numerous
systems including network drives. It's not free - but if
you not lucky with the free one's try it - it's
reasonable I think about $12 US, and is a download.
