Playing sound in .pps

Hi, This thing is driving me nuts. I've read all the tips and stuff there is
to read, but I still can't get the .wav file to play thru the presentation.
No matter how I set it, each time the slide changes the music restarts.
What am I doing wrong here ? thanks...Dave

I believe the sound is inserted through slide transition?
If so, click Slide Show > Slide Transition.
Under Sound, click on the dropdown and select [No Sound].
Click Apply to All Slides.
Now, insert the sound again under slide transition.
This time do NOT apply to all slides.

Tohlz... Thank you, thank you. You saved my sanity indeed.
It seems you have to go thru these steps in sequence one by one, and lastly
choosing the wav file, then the apply button.
The help files could sure do with being a little more explicit. I found
myself running around in circles eventually, trying to put all the tips etc.
into practice.
I don't know what we'd do without you guys.
Thanks again, and keep up the good work... Dave

Have you read and tried the suggestions here:

Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)

HI Steve... I have read that article you suggested, but having tried all of
these things, I still couldn't get it to work.
As you can see above, Shawn had the answer, that worked for me.
That is, in "Slide Transition", you must first select "no sound". and set up
the timing between slides then "apply to all" slides.
Drop the menu again and select the music file (bottom of list)
I ticked the "Loop" box, although I'm not sure if this is necessary...
Thanks for your interest.... Dave
