Playing RealAudio files

I downloaded files ending in ".ram" that are apparently realAudio 3.0 clips
and was surprised to find out that Windows Media Player version 9.0 that
came with my XP Home is unable to play it. Is there a way to play such files
without downloading Real Audio?

Thanks. I am trying to avoid Real Audio because of its spyware and bad
behavior spreading its files everywhere.
