I can't convince my PC to play my home video taken from
my Sony Cyber Shot Camera to play back on the StoryBoard
like it does in the collections window, or when i play it
in windows media play. It sounds like the Chipmonks. I
know the videos are in PAL mode, I changed the Options
setting to reflect PAL, and i tried NTSC to but i still
here Alvin and his buddies. Can someone please help me!

My ultimate goal is to convert the videos to NTSC.

Thanks

I think it may have something to do with my videos frame
rate. My Camera captures it at 25 frames a second instead
29.95 or real time. is it possible to fix my videos to
play in VMM?? or fix the playback?

Please help me... ty

Are the files from the camera being transferred via firewire as DV-AVI or
are you capturing MPEG2 files via a USB hookup? Are you capturing with MM2
or other software?

I am using Flash Media and hooking it up to a USB Card
reader, Then using the XP software to download the images
to my PC.

What else do you need to know to correct the problem ?

Thanks

What is the camera brand and model? And what software are you using to
download the files to your PC?

Camera is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F717
I use WINDOW XP HOME auto down load funtioin that
recognizes my Flah Media Card when it is inserted into
the Card reader. The soft ware or driver were already
part of WIN XP HOME...\\ does that help?

Yes, that helps a lot. Using USB and flash cards means
you are getting MPEG files. That would make it a codec
issue.

See the Importing Source Files... Video... MPEG2 page of
www.papajohn.org

You will probably be best off capturing with whatever
software came with the camera and saving it from there as
a file that Movie Maker 2 can use.
