I am a computer novice on a computer with Windows XP.
How do I find the files that reveal what my kids are
looking at on the Internet?

The easiest way would be to browse the history folder and look at the pages
that have been visited. With Internet Explorer open, you can access history
from the toolbar or pressing ctrl+h.

The History folder under there user names. That's if they have not deleted
the contents. You can also set up site blocking so they can't look at
certain web pages/web sites.
Look in "Help & Support" on the "Start Menu".

How do I find the files that reveal what my dad and mom and looking at on
the Internet?

Or do I really want to know?

You, obviously, don't have children. You are probably still in puberty!

Why don't you just ask the kids?
If they lie to you then you have much bigger problems than what they are
looking at on the net.

You might want to get something like Net Nanny to cut them off at the
pass. (My kids are grown, so I don't have any experience with this
kind of software.)

IF your kids are computer savvy, they may have done what a friend of mine's
son did and set up and administrator level password protected logon. In
that case you'll have to log on as admin, change the user rights, and then
change the password for that logon.
