Play sound problem?

W

William

In Outlook, I have rules to send incoming email to sub-folders under
"Inbox".
When new emails arrive, and the rules are met, the emails are sent to the
appropriate sub-folders. When this happens, no sound is played.

However, if an email remains in the "Inbox" because no rules were met, then
a sound is played.

How can I configure Outlook to play sound for all situations when emails
arrive?

Thanks,
Bill

Uncheck the option to play a sound for incoming mail and use a rule that basically says, for all mail addressed to me (or where I am in the CC field) play a sound. It may get irritating.

After furious head scratching, William asked:
