Use PowerPoint => File => Send To => MS Word. This will generate slides in
a new Word document table.
Then cut and paste the slide image from the table document to where you want
it in your Word file.

Bill,
I use the powerpoint2003 send to feature all the time. I send to word with
notes on the left of the pix. Works great except the files are huge. I have
tried it in the linked format and it makes no difference. For ex. a recent
68 side presentation was 86 meg. The only solution I have found is to delete
the pix in the word file or to replace them with screen captures, but that
kind of defeats the purpose.
I have tried using the compress photos tool but that doesn't work on the
image objects that ppt exports to word.
Does your tool do a better job or are there other suggestions?
This is a great feature for me to have notes for talks but the file size is
ridiculous.
