placement of icons on desktop

Hi,
the icons on my Windows 2000 PC are placed in irregular way. When I
arrange icons, they are still placed irregularly on the desktop. Can
you tell me how I can arrange them with equal spacing among them?

move the icons about to suit your layout
On the desktop - right click and click "Line Up Icons" from the shell menu
