placeholders instead of pictures

Outlook 2003 - IE7 (if that makes any differance). When I get an HTML email
with attached pictures and double click to open full screen, then when I
click to download pictures, I get only placeholders. If I click to download
pictures in the reading pane, pictures open, and then I can double click to
go full screen. HTML emails with embedded pictures open fine in reading pane
& full screen. This may be coincident with the installation of IE7.

You are not the only one with this issue. I have it on one of my 5
machines. 4 work fine; one does not. I am still investigating. This
started when I upgraded to IE7 and I also have Outlook 2003.

I have a similar issue with Outlook 2007. The reading pane shows the
placeholder regardless...when I zoom into the window for the message and go
into the customize ribbon settings and remove the checkbox for the Show
Placeholders option the pictures appear in the zoom window, but not in the
preview pane...then when I close and go back into the zoom window the
placeholders are back and the check box is checked...it is not commiting the
change????
