Placeholder for .jpg image

Is there any way I can put a placeholder for a jpg image in a new slide
layout design? The reason I want to do this is so that when I make up a
photo album, photos of different original sizes can be inserted which do not
exceed the placeholder size. This photo placeholder is to be combined with
two text boxes above the photo, one left justified and one right justified,
and one text box below, centered. I have not found a template which fits
this layout, and as I show the slideshows on my tv, the placement is vital so
it does not get cropped.

You cannot add new place holders. You can however create a slide with your
place holder on it, and then copy and paste the slide as many times as you
need to finish your project.

Thanks Michael. It is in setting up the "master" that I'm having trouble
.... I'm finding the procedure in the help file quite difficult to follow
and I haven't found much about specifically inserting placeholders. I
appreciate your reply and hope to get there eventually!

You cannot insert placeholders. Once you have finished setting up your
Master with your preferred colours, fonts etc Close the Master and now
insert a new slide and format that slide so that it satisfies your needs for
the photo album. Once that is done, save your one slide presentation as a
Template file (.POT). Now when ever you open a new presentation based on the
template file you created, it will open with the formatted photo slide which
you can copy and paste as many times as required.

Or, you can save your self a lot of heartache and look at the photo album

Don't think you will be sorry. One other option is to use Shyam's Image
