Hello all,
Downloaded the PL2006 iso, changed all .php to .htm on it and made a
PL2006.iso.torrent for it with azureus. I have it standing by for
download.
Please send requests for the torrent to me at evenafwezig at

Hello Even,

Some of the .php links are links to authors web sites. If you replaced
ALL the .php links you have created a NEW problem.

I don't think a new ISO file is the best way to handle the "SP2 - IE
browser" problem. A revised set of web pages can be packaged as a
*separate* download of less than 300 KB *if* we don't find any easier
work-around.

Well, I would like to get a Azereus compatible torrent anyway
- is this possible?

Probably. I'll see if I can get a tracker up and running, if so then
the .torrent will be compatible with all clients.

I'll continue seeding the trackerless one too -- But it's important to
avoid fragmenting the downloads between too many swarms at once
otherwise we lose a lot of the swarm's overall efficiency.

It seems to me that it is a lot easier and faster to D/L Netscape (it is
free)
install it and be on your merry way.
Just my 2 cents (still 2?)

Thanks Even. Apologies for the slow reply. It might be *easier* for me
to create the pages. I can revise the header files - they contain the
local .php links and then download another set of web pages. That would
take care of most of the problem links. (The index.html page would slso
need revision.) The final step would be to rename the extensions on
downloaded files from .php to .htm. I think that would do it. Some work,
but not too bad. It might be a few days before I can get to it.

Decided to go ahead now. I've uploaded a zip file here with web pages
that should work with IE:

http://www.pricelesswarehome.org/ftp/2006-CD-IE_pages.zip
(182 KB)

I haven't done a complete check on those pages. I'm hoping others will
do that for me. . .

Looking good and working good. Except the sortby on the program index.
Thats serverside, like php.

Thanks for checking. :) FWIW - the sortby could be faked with static
pages - an additional web page for each column sort (a lot of extra
pages would be needed).
