The Torrent was built using µTorrent and has some commands that are native
to µTorrent. It seems that other than µTorrent and Bit Comet, other torrent
software can't figure out how to handle it...

Using the excellent image burner program called
ImgBurn

Thank you Coma. :) My kind of of app: small, *easy* to use, lightening
fast (on my machine anyway). KISS! (note: It does need to be installed.)

I've got the iso, and the torrent file above. I'm trying to set the
thing up for uploading, but I'm not having much luck.

I issue the command
btdownloadcurses PL2006_CDISO.iso.torrent
but I get the error: got bad file info -

I'm using Linux, not Windows. Any ideas?

According to this page
http://www.slyck.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16171
the beta version of BitTorrent will work. I can tell you that the
BitTorrent 4.2.2 debian version (using python 2.3) does not work.
Don't have python 2.4 (looks like it's required for the beta) and
cannot get the beta to run here.

Post back if you find something that works on Linux.

Thanks for the tipoff. I'd have to check what versions I am using. But
it looks like one possible explanation - *grr*.
Run µTorrent* with WINE?

Oh dear, a bit complicated - and probably not useful in my case as I
don't have X Windows
installed (it's a remote machine). I really don't want to get involved
in X Windows and Wine.

I'll second that vote of thanks. Thanks also to Soren Hedeby Sorensen
who nominated uTorrent fot the Pricelessware List this year and an
ENORMOUS thank you to Ash - who works mostly behind the scenes.

YW! :-)

I share your sentiment that this year has marked a giant shift in
the number of ACF members becoming involved in the choosing, checking,
voting and distribution of the PL2006 CD. All the active participants
in ACF do indeed appear to have been involved in the 'Team'

The regular back room guys and gals, Steven Burn, REM, Burnr,
Mark Warner, Cousin Stanley and Mark Carter appear to have had a much
easier time in doing their essential work.

Lastly thank you Susan for keeping things on track and providing the
key enthusiasm for the PL CDISO yearly event!

Ash
