Pixelation in capture

I have connected my DVR to Moviemaker and tried to record
the content,whilst the camcorders screen shows that the
movie is playing Ok and the pictures are good,Moviemaker
screen on the PC becomes pixelated after about 5 mins of
recording time.Any suggestions please !!
 
What is the dvr?
By pixelated do you mean you get corrupt square blocks of video showing
instead of the proper video?
Do you have all other apps turned offf, inc
internet/firewall/a-virus/screensaver etc.
Defrag hdd.
