I have upgraded to a Dell Latitude 600 (laptop with dell
LCD monitor) w/ pentium 1700 MHz processor, 1 GB RAM,
running XP professional ver 2002 service pack 1.

My problem is with certain applications the display is
pixelated and hard to read. It happens in Excell with
fonts that are 10 pt ariel. and certain pictures and
words in explorer (internet). It seems that there is a
setting or driver that isn't quite right.

I have adjusted the resolution without any joy and
reloaded video drivers. Any help is much apprectiated!!

Have you tried ClearType yet? Display Properties> Appearance> Effects. In
the font smoothing section, select ClearType.

If you find that change too "strong", visit the online ClearType Tuner to
adjust it to your liking:
