PivotTable Data Source Questoin

Hi, I've just built a giant pivot table that I am quite proud of (my first pivot table). It draws from one data sheet that, in turn, is linked to about 30 workbooks. I data is linked to forecasts that will change so I need to refresh my pivot table often. The source data probably contains about 17000 links... kind of clunky. I am wondering if there is a better way for a pivot table to extract information from the 30 workbooks (the 30 workbook data sheets are identically structured). I probably don't need a detailed response, just some pointers that there is a a more elegant solution. Thanks all for your past and future advice.

Without knowing what you are trying to do exactly, it may be possible to use the consolidation feature of pivot tables.

When you start the wizard, select "multiple consolidation ranges" and then have a play.
