PivotTable Sum 2 Columns

M

Mouimet

Hi,
Probably this is simple.
You need to know first, I can not add another column in the Data sheets, I
need to work with the pivot table to do this.

I have a Pivot table with a field :" Status"
In this field the pivot table show 4 data: OSales, HSales, Refuse, Pending
Each data show 2 columns (# and %)
I need to add another column in the Pivot table showing the total of "Osales
+ Hsales" only
How can I add this
Here a small part of my Pivot tablet, save time and just show me, how to
create a total of the # forget the %
I will do the % base on this.

Status (Field)

OSales HSales Refuse Pending Total O&HSales
Total All
# # # # (This is what I need)
Ok I have it
1 2 2 1 3
6
4 2 5 3 6
14

Thanks

Hi,

Try this

1. In the pivot table, click on any one column heading I.e. one of OSales,
HSales, Refuse or Pending;
2. Click on the pivot table button on the pivot table toolbar and go to
formulas > Calculated item;
3. Give the name as custom total and in the formula bar type
=Osales+Hsales. Click on OK;
4. A new column would get inserted called custom total.
5. Please note that the grand total would now be incorrect because the new
column would also be summed up. Remove the grand total column and follow
steps 1-4 for creating a modified grand total column which excludes the new
column added

Hope this helps.
