Pivot Table totals

Is it possible to automatically embolden totals in a pivot table (the entire
row where a total or subtotal is)
ive looked every where and can only find template formats but nonr for a
plain pivot table with bold total rows.

I can of course do it manually but cant record macro this as the rows that
contain pivot table totals could change month to month, day to day.

Hi Rob,

Not so sure if you can do this with the PivotTable itself, but it can be
done pretty easily with a PivotTable report. If this is a manageable option
for you, just: click on the affected PivotTable; on the PivotTable toolbar,
click on the Format Report button, and select the appropriate option. The
report should automatically update any changes that were reflected in the
PivotTable.
Hope this helps.

For things like that I have had success using conditional formats. You need
to formta the entire column but it works OK. In the conditional format use
formula is and a function something like

=right($A1, 6) = " Total"

This will identify rows that have totals on them and apply your conditional
format (bold, coloured, ...)

Place cursor in subtotal, then from wizard go to "select" and "enable
selection". With this button turned on, when clicking the subtotal
within the pivot table, it will automatically highlight all like
subtotals which at that point you can edit however you wish (colors,
bolding, italic, etc)
